Priestley College,

Details of the scheme will be available in all these libraries.

Barbara West, Cheshire County Council’s Public Libraries Operations Manager said: “It’s hoped that the partnership, with the backing of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, Libraries North West and Inspire England, will grow in strength as other colleges and learning institutions join.

“It’s the first step in trying to link library services and make specialist collections more accessible,” she said. “For many it will be a facility to help them add that last piece of information to their learning puzzle.”

The LEARN Partnership was established in the Cheshire, Halton, Warrington and Wirral region to foster and enhance the strength, accessibility and efficiency of library provision to provide improved access to library and information resources. The group aims to bring together all public, higher and further education and NHS libraries.
The LEARN Partnership's initial meeting was held in September 2004 to begin the process of setting criteria for a new joint library access agreement and will have a formal launch on March 1st.

If anyone would like to know more about the Partnership, please contact their chair, Barbara West - Barbara.West@cheshire.gov.uk
